Kindergarten at Catalina Hills is an exceptional opportunity for your child to thrive in a small, familiar environment. Our program is structured to meet the Arizona Academic Learning Standards. Students have the opportunity to learn Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies skills through hands-on learning experiences. Our curriculum provides digital learning in the classroom as well as opportunities for extension and exploration. Students in Kindergarten at Catalina Hills learn problem solving, self-regulation and social emotional skills that will aid them on their own continuum of learning. Our students work to master skills that show readiness for first grade. All learning activities are designed to meet the array of needs of all students in order to individualize the instruction in the classroom. The Kindergarteners at Catalina Hills have a unique opportunity to practice being in a leadership role at our school.

Kinder Cubs
Maria Fallon comes to Catalina Hills with over 12 years of teaching experience in the Marana Unified School District and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona. In addition, she has earned a National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist.
As a parent herself, Ms. Fallon brings a unique and heartfelt approach to the classroom. Her passion for teaching ensures that each child will feel loved, safe, respected and challenged.

"We could not be more thrilled with the kindergarten program here at Catalina Hills. Jacob just turned 5 and has been here since the beginning of the school year. It's just blown us away how much he's grown. He'll come home and say things like, "Mom! Did you know that vowels are a,e,i,o,u?" And I'm like, "I didn't know you knew that!" He can also count by tens in Spanish which is amazing.
Overall, the communication is great. This is a fun, loving environment were children are encouraged to play as well as learn and as a teacher in the Catalina Foothills School District, I can say that this is definitely on par with the expectations that a lot of families have for their kiddos. We absolutely love it here. We could not be happier and we can't say enough good things about this school."

The Owl Program is offered 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday as an extension of the school day. Fun thematic activities are planned with different themes each day of the week. There is a daily snack (provided by the parents), lots of indoor and outdoor play time and as a special treat, a G-rated short film each Friday afternoon. Drop-ins will be available when enrollment numbers allow.
Owls Program
Early Birds is our before school care for families that would like to have their children come at 7:30am, Monday-Friday. Early Birds is available by reservation Monday-Friday, drop-in options will be available when enrollment numbers allow.

At Catalina Hills, students benefit from many enrichment opportunities to extend their learning. Each week, students are given instruction in Art, Music, PE and Spanish.
